CYM began in 1992 as a collaborative effort of 15 local churches to provide positive alternate activities for area youth. These activities started as kids clubs throughout the community and a program to support teen moms.

In 2002, CYM reorganized as a public benefit corporation (501(c)3).  In the following years, CYM began to increase the number of programs and expand to multiple cities within California's San Joaquin Valley, including Reedley, Orange Cove, Dinuba, and Caruthers.

Currently, CYM provides after school programs, programs for teen moms, neighborhood Bible clubs, comprehensive sexual health education and substance  abuse counseling.
