CYM began in 1992 as a collaborative effort of 15 local churches to provide positive alternate activities for area youth. These activities started as kids clubs throughout the community and
a program to support teen moms. In 2002, CYM reorganized as a public benefit corporation (501(c)3). In the following years, CYM began to increase the number of programs and expand to multiple cities within California's San Joaquin Valley, including Reedley, Orange Cove, Dinuba, South West Fresno, Caruthers and Hanford. Currently, CYM provides afterschool programs, programs for teen moms, neighborhood Bible clubs, comprehensive sexual health education, substance abuse counseling, and parenting classes within several cities in the heart of the Central Valley.
. . . to empower and strengthen youth in our community.
. . . to see lives transformed through increased opportunities in the areas of leadership development, goal achievement, education, community services, vocational training, and spiritual growth.
. . . that each child discovers their unique God-created potential!
We accomplish this by partnering with local organizations, schools, and churches to provide our youth the best opportunities to develop their potential.
